Character’s Name: Edward Vrdolyak

Tell us about your acting experience:

Started acting 5 years ago and have been in plays, indie films, TV shows and commercials, industrial films, and print ads. Studied at Victory Gardens, Acting Studio Chicago, Green Shirt Studio and Cerny/American.

How are you most like the character you’re playing? Least?

Most like Vrdolyak in that he and I both have a long history of public speaking and advocating positions. Least like Vrdolyak since he was in public office for a career while I have never been elected or appointed to anything.

What do you most enjoy about playing your character?

Stepping into the shoes of a long time iconic Chicago public personage and presenting him as a real person in his own particular environment.

What does the Stuart Levine story mean to you?

The story is about human pride, the hard and sudden fall from power and success, attempts at redemption and recovery and how this plays out in the very specific lives of people facing moral and ethical ambiguity and choices every day.

How has your experience been working with The Agency Theater Collective?

The Agency people are all smart, hard working, and very supportive. What’s not to like?
