Out of Tune Confessional at the Fringe

Come join The Agency Theater Collective as they drag Alana Pretty Pretty, Mickey Sparks, Jeffrey Eskaton and the rest of the band out from under whatever rock, or mattress, they’ve been hiding under.

You’ll only have five chances to catch this elusive band at the Chicago Fringe Festival so make sure you drink whatever it is that helps you make it through the day and drag yourself over to Jefferson Park. Tickets to the show are just $10* so break that last twenty you’ve got hidden in your boot heel and use the left overs to buy a drink for you and a friend (did we mention that the band’s manager is your friend?).

The band has promised to be sober enough to perform on these dates, at these times**:

Monday, September 1st at 5:30 PM
Friday, September 5th at 8:30 PM
Saturday, September 6th at 7 PM

Catching the band on stage not enough? Be sure to stick around the festival before and after the show, you just might find yourself sitting next to Mickey Sparks at a show (he promises to behave), dancing with Alana Pretty Pretty and the Cowboy Drummer at Fringe Central (they promise not to behave), or tossing back a cold one with the Gringo Shaman and Jeffrey Eskaton (promises? They were done with those several rounds ago, time to play catchup).

This play was creative, well-performed, and appealed to my off-center sense of humor. Bravo to the cast, and the “transgender” nurse who had me totally convinced that he was a weird prop at the bar before the play began. Performance art at its finest! Thorazine and lithium for everyone!
